Pain is considered chronic if it has existed for 3 months or more despite medical care and treatment (excluding rehabilitation from a surgery). Chronic pain can arise from a known injury, or can develop gradually over time. At Wildwood Physical Therapy, treatment is often multi-faceted. This can include uncovering previously untreated areas that continue to contribute to the pain, developing a safe exercise plan, as well as breath work to reduce anxiety and tension surrounding the pain.
